Kgola-Thuto Secondary School

Welcome to The Royal Family! Kgolathuto Secondary was established in 1998 and is a mega school with more than 1400 learners. We are register above 250 learners in matric and admit more than 300 in grade 8 and 10, yearly. As a Royal House we have a very big heart, where tradition-inspired learning means punctuality, integrity, discipline, respect, honesty, teamwork, empathy and excellence. At The Royal Family, each Prince and Princess has a name and the ability to create his/her own niche and are also taught the value of working together to achieve big results.

The school has been providing educational opportunities for its learners of Qwa Qwa (Phuthaditjhaba), Free State, from different beliefs and cultural backgrounds. We also cater for other areas around and beyond the borders of Thabo Mofutsanyane Education District for well over three decades.

We pride ourselves with a number of dedicated staff member who manage to be in the provincial top 10 in their respective subjects. We are group of new vibrant educators and well experienced educators who never miss the opportunity to share their experiences with the upcoming peers.

Kgolathuto is well known in the province for its own outstanding performance in the NSC results. This is the only school that has produced more than eleven (11) learners in the Top 100 of the Free State Province in 2016. The school has firm leadership, the Headmaster/Principal was elected as one of the best principals in secondary school leadership by Minister of Education Me. Angie Motshekga in 2020.

We participate in various sporting codes with several provincial and national representatives, and more learners are presenting the school globally. We believe that healthy minds and bodies are achieved through offering different sporting activities.
